| Grade | Description |
| SUS410 | Basic martensitic type. General purpose, heat-treatable type used where corrosion is not severe. |
| SUS416 | Free machining variation of Type 410 by virtue of added sulfur. |
| SUS420J1 | Hardenable stainless steel, which can be hardened to approximately Rockwell C 50. |
| SUS420J2 | High carbon type of SUS420J1 stainless, increased carbon content, high hardness |
| SUS420F | Free machining grade of SUS420J2 stainless |
| SUS440C | A high carbon type. Can be heat treated for high strength and hardness. Greater abrasion and wear resistance for use in bearing and bushing applications. Corrosion resistant only in the hardened condition. |
